Kendra Violet

Kendra Violet joined Stony Brook University as the Executive Director of Mobility & Parking Services in October 2021; where she is looking to transform the mobility ecosystem. Kendra earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Promotion and Education from the University of Cincinnati. Kendra most recently served as the Director of Parking Services at the University of Cincinnati where she implemented several new technologies and programs to create a positive customer experience. As an experienced and innovative leader with over 18 years in higher education, she has held prior positions as the Associate Director of Facilities and Operations for Campus Recreation and Assistant Director for Campus Recreation at University of Cincinnati. During this time, she implemented a faculty/staff rewards program for the two new recreation facilities that she helped open. Kendra’s work has been recognized by many professional associations, earning her several awards including the Ohio Recreational Sports Association Honor Award in 2015, the T2 Hero Award in 2018, and the Best of 2019 IPMI Marketing Award for the Park That Phone: Distracted Driving Campaign.

One of my favorite quotes is from Walt Disney- “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing”.  It is time for us to quit talking and take steps in empowering women to lead.  I am excited to work with WIL to do exactly that!  -Kendra
